Crestron Prodigy Layout

Something that I found very helpful is to use your floor plan drawings when you design the home automation layout.

Because mine was just created, I was able to use the digital version of it. I then took it in to Photoshop and used the layers to mark out my zones. Each zone has it's own color. In fact each devise like switches and dimmers, and so on, also have their own layer and color.

For the devises, I used there color and made dots on the floor plan drawing to represent where they would be somewhat located. My architect seems to be quite pleased with this way of representing the locations of the devices.

Back soon...

Ok, I'm back.  Anyway, using the digital copy of the floor plan really made it that much easier.  It gives you a true birdseye view of your whole house.

Coming soon, I will talk about the difference that I have found between Crestron Prodigy and Control4.

Thanks!
